Alternatives to eBay for Sellers – Oztion.com.au

This post is probably more relevant to Australian sellers than anyone else, but I don’t know of anything stopping people from all over the world from selling on the site, so it could be a great move for you – read on.

OZTION is Australia’s largest alternative to eBay for dedicated online auction shopping and selling. It essentially operates in the same manner as eBay. You buy and sell by bidding in an auction or you can buy and sell through instant transactions like buy-it-now. There are approximately 500,000 registered users on Oztion and 75,000 items for sale.

I recently made my first purchase on the site and was impressed with the quality of the service I received from the seller. In fact, after we had exchanged a couple of emails with the essential shipping and payment details I asked her what her experience of the site has been like. She said, “I LOVE OZTION! my sales are up and my fees are way down! I have not sold on ebay for about 3 months, had no need too. With ebays new rules and there unfair fees its just not worth the trouble anymore, Im staying here and never going back – unless i really need too…Lol”. This particular seller had more than 800 listings running at the time – and with NO LISTING FEES I can understand why. That’s right. There are no listing fees and only a $0.02 relist fee. The selling fee is also fantastic – 3% and a store costs only $5 per month!

I am seriously planning on listing on the site very soon.

Another good option is SwapAce.com – a free Aussie website that is really cool.
